What if materials destined to become waste could be transformed into something beautiful, functional, and made to last?
This question first inspired our Zero Waste Yoga Bolster project. What began as a small collaboration has now grown into a new production model that makes even better use of textile industry surplus materials.
Today, every bolster cover is handcrafted by a skilled seamstress from leftover fabric rolls collected from textile manufacturers. These are high-quality fabrics that would otherwise remain unused or end up as waste simply because there isn't enough material left for larger production runs. As a result, almost every bolster is truly one of a kind. The available fabrics constantly change, making each piece unique.
The filling follows the same zero-waste philosophy. Instead of using new filling materials, we personally collect textile offcuts from local sewing studios. The textile scraps used in our bolsters are generously provided by KaroLuo Ltd. and Gruppo Carinos Ky. Using a specially developed shredding system, we at SaagaMaria transform these leftover materials into soft, durable filling, giving valuable textiles a second life instead of letting them become waste.
Designed to last, every bolster features a removable, washable cover with a zipper. This not only makes it easy to keep your bolster fresh, but also allows you to add more filling over time if needed, extending its lifespan even further.
Every bolster is handmade with care, combining thoughtful craftsmanship with a commitment to reducing textile waste. No two bolsters are exactly alike, and each one tells the story of rescued materials given a new purpose.

Choosing Your Bolster

As each bolster is made from reclaimed surplus fabrics, most designs are available in only one piece. Once a fabric is sold, it is unlikely to be available again, so we recommend ordering early if you have a favourite.
Delivery Time
Each bolster is handmade to order. Delivery typically takes 1–3 weeks, depending on the availability of recycled textile filling materials at the time of your order.
We appreciate your patience as we carefully craft each unique bolster using rescued textile materials.
Care & Maintenance
The outer cover of your Zero Waste Yoga Bolster is removable and easy to maintain. Simply remove the cover using the zipper and hand wash when needed. Allow the cover to dry completely before putting it back on the bolster. Please do not wash the inner pillow.
The inner filling is made from recycled textile materials, which may release a small amount of fabric dust when handled. If you need to open the inner pillow for any reason, always wear a protective mask.
With proper care, your bolster can be enjoyed for a long time.
